You have this tune called Love Attack : what kind of girl could make you forget about your machines ?Just a girl that calls me and wants to do something! It doesn't hurt to get out of the house sometimes..it's also great inspiration to not just be alone in the studio-there's enough of that anyways. The perfect date would be inviting me to a sauna!
I discovered Mobb Deep with a skate video, is there a link in your personnal history between music & skateboarding ?Yes, when I was fanatic about skateboarding, in the late eighties, there was a strong musical connection, all the thrash metal bands that I liked were really cool and wore skateboard clothes... Also a lot of good punk rock in the skate videos : Sepultura, Sarcofago, Obituary, Morbid Angel, Sacred Reich, Norwegian punk from the "Blitz" scene, an occupied building in Oslo. This was a long time ago, when I was skateboarding as well, around when I was 12-14. I started playing drums in bands at the same time.
Do you think skateboarding is still a good way to get girls ? What about doing electronic music ?Hehe, I don't skate that much anymore, so really don't know...but I guess if you're really into skateboarding, that's not the reason you do it, more the feeling of skating itself! About electronic music, it depends how extrovert you are.. if you are a total freak that never leaves the house, or a jetsetting superstar dj.. I personally try to leave the house at least once a year !
Tell me why Annie is the perfect room-mate !She is always very nice and kind and fun! I can tell you that she is a real music lover, she can be moved by any kind of music, as long as it's good. Of course we went to the Iron Maiden concert when they played recently. Nowadays she listens to a lot of heathen music!
TOP 5 techno artists ?Biosphere, Legowelt, Dopplereffekt, Mad Mike (Underground Resistance), Kraftwerk.
What's the future for Skatebaard ?At least in the near future, it's happening a lot! I'm releasing EP's on three different labels, Radius, Supersoul and Digitalo Enterprises/Kompakt, as well as there will be out my remixes of four different artists! I hope to be touring a bit down the continent this summer... And I will continue to run my club night here in Bergen, together with Dj Balthazar, it's called Digitalo, and it's lovely! In March we're having a special night with Casco and Alexander Robotnick!
