dear catastrophe waitress

photo : christmas by 40°C

yesterday in the middle of a cheap whore euro slash house set at the st ex my computer died on me happy face turned über stressed and the organ saved the day. sorry for the trouble.
today the darling was brought back to life but its weakness is palpable and the question i would like most answered right now is no more "when will i arrive in sunny perth?" (probs next sunday)(!!!)(i know) but "when will apple release their new ultraportable comps and will they cater for dvds and cds?" (which i fear they wont)(such worries i have, ah?).

yesterday, among many other events, the mayor of my city ex prime minister ex ecology minister still cheat but oh so handsome (or so i thought during the 1995 strikes) Alain Juppé graced of his (still handsome) presence the inauguration of my newly madeover street ("le cours Victor Hugo, ça tranche!") under the pouring rain. which was fun and all (who doesn't like trumpet renditions of Billie Jean) but a bit ... wet.

yesterday, among many other events, my darling american sister (uhu?) Kat came to Bordeaux to deliver some highly needed pumpkin pie and hugs and love too. under the pouring rain we found ourselves dreaming, like in the old times, of sunny California (here we come).plus it's NOT raining in sunny California (just look at Britney's outfits) which is so fucking lucky, so let's all dream of that.

Naive New Beaters, dont le chanteur David Boring est originaire du lycée français de Los Angeles just released their second EP Live Good 2 weeks ago, which was an excuse to party hard and the occasion for me to actually have fun at Le Showcase. which was topped up by a stolen 200€ champagne bottle, you go boy! this one song is a DEMO from the, as of yet, untitled LP and it is exciting, pretty much like the feeling you get when renting a SUV ( or a limo?) to roam around the golden state in good company when you don't even have your licence.

Naive New Beaters - Can't Chose

Jason Schwartzman, epitome of the golden state golden boy, is in Oz right now (where it's not raining either, w00t) to promote the eagerly awaited Darjeling Limited, and he was spotted by a team of sweet stalkers shopping organic foods in my former street. omg. Jason Schwartzman has also been coming back to his first love music in the form of one man band (helped by some Incubus people tho) Coconut Records, and i must say even though it's a funny name for a one man band, it is lovely. the top8 of his myspace is pretty much complete rendition of my sweet 16, spent with darling american sister Kat dreaming of californian power pop : CQFD.

Coconut Records - West Coast

huge influences for this first solo record (Nighttiming then, which you really should buy cos its full of gems) range from (very surprisingly) Phoenix (coucou) to Weezer (pas très loin, ça tombe bien). "Weezer's charismatic frontman" (lol) Rivers Cuomo is not one to become lazy either and a solo album (how fortunate!), made up of alternate versions of former hits and never released anthems, is bound to hit the stores. we should be so lucky.

je vous laisse j'ai une pumpkin pie à finir mais avant bonus des dimanches soir et spéciale dédicace :
